Winter Storm

Well, it finally happened!  A snowstorm!  So strange to be living in Northern Vermont and get so little snow this year!  The snow has been pouring down all day today, and we have about 8" so far.  It doesn't seem to be slowing down, so I expect at least a foot by morning - maybe more!  We had fun sledding outside after farm chores, and then made some awesome origami suncatchers for the windows in the kitchen!  So fun!! :-)

I started Healthy Roots to hopefully inspire others to join the movement towards "back to the basics" traditional foods, natural healing and healthy living, and just moving towards a less hurried life.  We run a small homestead farm based on Weston A. Price Foundation and permaculture principles and I raise and breed AGS/ADGA Nigerian Dwarf goats. I also homeschool our two wonderful children. I am a writer, homeschool teacher, goat breeder, organic farmer, and herbalist. We love our life in Vermont, and we are so excited for you to share our journey!
